Spar recalls several muesli products

The Spar food chain has launched a recall because several muesli products contain elevated levels of a mold toxin.

According to the company, increased levels of ochratoxin A in the ingredient raisins were detected in the following products during a routine check:

• NUSSYY Organic Protein Bar - Protein Bear 35 g, with the best-before date (BBD) 22.06.2025

• NUSSYY organic bar - Lazy Freddy 35 g, with the best-before date 22.06.2025

• NUSSYY Organic Berry Muesli Ovenbaked + Protein 350 g, with the best-before date 07.07.2025

• SPAR Natur*pur Organic Muesli Fruits Almond 375 g, with the best-before date 06.04.2025

"Affected products already withdrawn from circulation"
"For this reason Spar recalls all mentioned products with the above best-before date. The affected products with the respective best-before date have already been withdrawn from circulation," explained a press spokeswoman on Monday afternoon.

Customers who have bought the affected products can return them to their nearest Spar, Euro, Interspar or Maximarkt store. The purchase price will be refunded - even without a receipt.
