VSV is fishing for a club legend

VSV are working on their blue and white summer coup! With neo-coach Tray Tuomie, they have already brought in a promising man for the coaching position. Now a blue-and-white legend, Herbert Hohenberger, is set to take over as assistant coach.

The 55-year-old Hohenberger had already recommended Tuomie to the VSV management team as coach after last season and was one of the best defenders in Austria. He won five championship titles with Villach, plus one with Cologne in Germany.

But there's still one problem: the Villach man still has a three-year contract with Krefeld in DEL 2. The Eagles have been trying for days to convince the Germans to let Hohenberger go. The last few days there has been a kind of standstill. Now Herbie is going to Krefeld himself at the beginning of next week to talk to them. It will be interesting to see what comes out of it...

Tray Tuomie is due to arrive in Villach by car from Bremerhaven on Saturday at the latest. On Tuesday there will be a big team presentation at the Villach Church Day. Training starts on August 12th.
