Defective oven caused the fire department to intervene

Following the blaze in an apartment in Bregenz's Rheinstraße, fire investigators from the Vorarlberg State Office of Criminal Investigation have completed their investigations. The cause of the fire was a faulty kitchen appliance. 

There was a fire alarm in an apartment building in Bregenz early on Thursday morning. All residents had to leave the building. Two people received medical care at the assembly point in front of the building.  

Apartments too full of smoke
The firefighters rushed to the scene extinguished the flames within an hour. The apartment in which the fire broke out due to the defective oven, as well as a few neighboring apartments, are not habitable.
