Hotel burglars take safe and “Tschick” with them

Criminals ravaged an inn and hotel in St. Veit an der Glan and made off with a safe.

The burglars first ransacked the bar area of the business - they pocketed several cartons of cigarettes and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. But the criminals obviously didn't stop there: the unknown perpetrators then broke open the locked swing door to the reception hall and restaurant area, from where they gained access to the second floor of the hotel, which had just closed.

They then forced their way into the office, where they tore out the safe, which was firmly anchored in a wooden cabinet, and removed it. Among other things, the safe contained three waiter's wallets filled with several thousand euros, three more cigarette sticks and the master key to the central key system. The investigation is in full swing.
