Paris museums to remain closed around the opening!

Numerous museums in Paris will be closed for the start of the Summer Olympics on July 26!

The Louvre and the Orsay Museum (Musée d'Orsay) are among the institutions that will not open due to the increased security measures around the venues in the center of the metropolis. The two world-famous museums will be closed on the day of the opening ceremony and the day before.

The Orangerie Museum in the Tuileries Garden, which houses Impressionist masterpieces, will close around the Olympic Games (July 26 to August 11) and Paralympics (August 28 to September 8) on July 20, 25 and 26 as well as August 26 and 28.

The human history museum, the Musée de l'homme, on the Trocadéro opposite the Eiffel Tower has decided to close for several weeks until August 13. The Eiffel Tower itself will remain closed on July 26.
