In the US state of Oklahoma, a police officer has stopped a UFO on four wheels - the license plate was unrecognizable.

Unusual sighting in the US state of Oklahoma: a UFO on four wheels. The police announced on Facebook that their patrol officer Ryan Vanvleck had pulled the silver, circular vehicle out of traffic. The official reason: "The license plate was not visible."

However, there were no green men behind the wheel, but two women from Indiana. They explained to the cop that they were on their way to the UFO festival in Roswell, New Mexico. Every year from July 5 to 7, alien fans from all over the world celebrate their "fascination with extraterrestrial phenomena and the wonders that await us beyond the visible stars".

The "E.T." fans were allowed to "fly on" with a warning. However, only after Vanvleck had snapped a selfie: "It's not every day that you stop a UFO." He then went on to explain: "These friendly humanoids have come in peace and are on their way to Roswell for their festival!"

The women were also stopped in Missouri - this time for an "illegal lane change".
