Female biker (59) crashed into two cars while overtaking

Serious traffic accident on Sunday morning in Sölden, Tyrol (Imst district)! A 59-year-old female motorcyclist from Germany crashed into an oncoming car while trying to overtake a car in front of her and was then also thrown into the second car.

At around 11.30 a.m., the woman was traveling out of the valley on her motorcycle on Ötztal Straße when an overtaking maneuver went completely wrong. "The 59-year-old first crashed into the driver's side of an oncoming car driven by a 57-year-old German, then she was thrown into the vehicle she was trying to overtake," said the police.

Road was completely closed for a short time
The woman, who was seriously injured in the subsequent crash, was treated by the ambulance and flown to Innsbruck Hospital by emergency helicopter. "The two drivers involved and other occupants of their cars were uninjured," explained the police. All vehicles involved in the accident suffered considerable material damage. Ötztal Straße had to be closed to all traffic for around half an hour due to the accident.
