Vets patch up small cat after accident

Lucky" was found seriously injured on a country road in the district of Baden (Lower Austria). After immediate emergency surgery, the purring accident victim is already feeling better.

Cuddled up, "Lucky" snuggles into the arms of a carer at the veterinary center (TMZT) in Teesdorf in the district of Baden and purrs comfortably. The little cat has an attentive passer-by to thank for the fact that he can do this again.

Run over by a car
The passer-by found the young tiger, a whimpering bundle of fur, on a country road just before entering the village, took pity on him and immediately brought him to the TMZT. "The initial examination revealed serious injuries, which were probably caused by a car," explains Managing Director Marcus Serringer.

Rescuing emergency operation
The cat's shattered jaw was reattached in an emergency operation. Currently, "Lucky", as the four-legged accident victim was christened, is being nursed back to health with a liquid diet specially prepared for him. "The fracture will probably take a few more weeks to heal," is the vet's prognosis.
