Drunk e-biker stole cell phones and caused an accident

Someone has clearly been drinking too much! A drunk e-bike rider (23) crashed into a car in Tyrol on Thursday. The man had previously stolen two cell phones on a terrace.

Shortly after midday, the local man was riding his e-bike in Kirchbichl (Kufstein district) from Herrengasse in the direction of Ulricusstraße. "He was in an alcohol-impaired state", according to the police.

Crashed into the windshield
When turning into Ulricusstraße, he collided with a car driven by a 38-year-old Austrian woman in the direction of Kufstein. "The 23-year-old was thrown against the windshield of the car in the collision and then onto the road," said the officers. Residents immediately provided first aid and informed the emergency services.

Bad karma after theft
The biker, who had stolen two cell phones from the terrace of a detached house before the accident, was taken to hospital in Kufstein with serious injuries after receiving first aid. Both vehicles involved in the accident sustained considerable damage.
