Cristiano Ronaldo is making headlines at the EURO not only on the pitch, but also off it. Before Portugal's quarter-final appearance on Monday evening, "CR7" fulfilled a dream for a terminally ill boy.

Awar Shanek is terminally ill and has a malignant neoplasm. Last week, doctor Annette from the palliative care team at Giessen University Hospital drew attention to the situation of the child of a Syrian refugee family on the radio station "hr3". The four-year-old's big dream is to meet soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo one day. "Together with his father, we would like to fulfill this wish."
