Family man speeds at 180 km/h on expressway

A 26-year-old man, his wife and children were traveling at 180 km/h on the Arlberg expressway in Vorarlberg, Austria, and the police stopped the mad dash. 

The Vorarlberg police confiscated the car of a speeding driver on Saturday. The suspect is a 26-year-old man who was driving his car from Tyrol on the Arlberg expressway (S16) in the afternoon and had his family with him. Instead of the permitted 80 kilometers per hour, he drove into a speed camera at 180 km/h, according to the police.

He was stopped by a police patrol a short time later. The officers discovered that there were two small children in the back seat, one of them an infant, and the man's wife in the passenger seat. The police confiscated the speeding driver's vehicle due to the massive speeding violation, and the 26-year-old had to surrender his driver's license on the spot. Nobody was injured, it was reported.
