Where Arnautovic eats his schnitzel with relish

Long before the EURO, Austria's record-breaking national team player Marko Arnautović had promised a friend that he would come to the restaurant opening in Trausdorf - but then the European Championship round of 16 intervened. Culinary delights will have to wait.

Since last Friday, it has been wide open for connoisseurs of delicious grilled specialties and excellent grilled fish: The Ethno-Restaurant at the traffic circle in Trausdorf cannot be overlooked when coming from Eisenstadt.

A distinguished visitor

Robert Hergovich, President of the Provincial Parliament, lives in the immediate vicinity. Together with Mayor Andreas Rotpuller, he presented the owners Danijel and Zeljka Marinkovic with a small gift: "The renovation and expansion of the restaurant, which offers 170 seats in the spacious, rustic garden, has been a complete success."

A top address

The host family got their start in gastronomy in 2016 with the Ethno in Eisenstadt. They soon made a name for themselves with typical Serbian specialties from the charcoal grill. Like many other gourmets, Austria's record-breaking national team player Marko Arnautović acquired a taste for it.

Team player as a guest

The international star kicker confirmed his attendance at the opening ceremony in Trausdorf early on. The ÖFB team's progression to the round of 16 of the European Championship has now prevented this. Danijel Marinkovic at least spoke to Arnautović on the phone: "His brother is a regular guest, Marko only when his job allows it."

Cooked for his birthday

The professional footballer was there for the birthday of Marko, the older son of the house. Arnautović has also been cooked for by the Marinkovic family for his own birthday.

Everyone helps out diligently in the business: Danijel's "mother-in-law" in the kitchen, sons Marko and Darko in service. The younger son is still attending vocational school in Eisenstadt.
