Head-on crash involving three cars on Thalstraße in Graz

Serious traffic accident in the morning traffic in Graz: There was a head-on crash involving three vehicles on Thalstraße early on Thursday morning. Four people, including a child and a teenager, were injured.

At around 7.30 a.m., a woman (51) from the Graz-Umgebung district was driving her car on Thalstraße heading out of the city. At the same time, a 54-year-old woman and a 46-year-old woman were driving their vehicles into the city on Thalstraße. There was a child and a teenager (aged 13 and 15) in the 46-year-old's vehicle. The 51-year-old woman probably drove into the oncoming lane due to fatigue.

Major operation by the emergency services
First she touched the side of the 54-year-old's car and then there was a head-on collision with the 46-year-old's car. Four people suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident. They were taken by the ambulance service to Graz Regional Hospital and the pediatric surgery department for further treatment. Thalstraße had to be closed to all traffic for over an hour.
