“Strength is waning”: Ex-BVB coach seriously ill

Worries about Peter Hermann. Edin Terzic's former assistant coach has spoken openly to "Sport1" about his illness. "My strength is failing," explained the 72-year-old.

"I have a nerve disease. It's giving me a lot of trouble," Hermann continued. "I spend most of my time at home, I only go shopping now and again. I do everything I can still do somehow. I've ordered myself a tricycle, I can ride it quite well."

After his playing career (including HSV and Leverkusen), Hermann switched to the coaching bench in the late 1980s and worked as a coach at Leverkusen, Bayern, Schalke and Dortmund. He left BVB in December 2022 for health reasons.
