A 17-year-old from Lungau crashed into two concrete pillars and then into a hedge on a left-hand bend in Mariapfarr on Sunday evening. The car was thrown back onto the road by the force of the crash. All occupants sustained minor injuries.

After the collision, the vehicle came to rest on its side. The 17-year-old and his three passengers were taken to the hospital in Tamsweg by the ambulance service. It is not known why the owner of the test driving license left the road.

The vehicle was a total loss. The Mariapfarr volunteer fire department attended the scene of the accident with three vehicles and 16 firefighters to recover the vehicle.
