Woman suddenly suffered a panic attack on the mountain

A woman from Upper Austria panicked during a hike from Hintersee. Air rescuers were able to help the woman.

On Sunday, they wanted to hike from Hintersee via the Genneralm, Hoher Zinken, Osterhorn and Pitscherberg to the Postalm, but during the ascent of two women from Upper Austria (54, 64), one of them suddenly panicked. The reason was the steep terrain.

The women called the mountain rescue team for help. Using the helicopter from the Salzburg Air Rescue Center, air rescuers finally pulled the hikers from the steep spot on the rope. The two were flown to an intermediate landing site and driven down into the valley by the Strobl mountain rescue team.
