Three goals disallowed! Lukaku is the European Championship loser

Unbelievable, but true - as if an evil curse were weighing on him! Euro 2024 remains jinxed for Belgium's star striker Romelu Lukaku! After two games, the 1.91-metre striker could already have scored several goals for the "Red Devils" and sent his team through to the round of 16 - but Lukaku has already had three goals disallowed in just two games ...

Admittedly, there have been no blatant mistakes so far that would have spoiled the 85-time Belgium goalscorer's 86th goal.

Centimeters decided whether or not a goal was offside
In both the first group game against Slovakia and today's clash with Romania, a few centimetres at most decided whether a goal was or was not scored.

In another supposed goal against Slovakia, as the VAR subsequently revealed, the hand of assistant referee Loïs Openda was involved in the bad play for Lukaku.

All in all, it's been a used European Championship so far for Lukaku, one of the last members of Belgium's much-vaunted but never title-winning "golden generation" ...
