Police confiscated 33 driving licenses in one night

Everyone knows that you are not allowed to drive after drinking too much alcohol or even under the influence of drugs. But because this is when overconfidence is high, it happens again and again. In the night of June 22, 33 drivers in Carinthia therefore had to surrender their driving licenses.

Throughout Carinthia, the police, under the direction of the provincial traffic department, had a focus on alcohol and drugs at the wheel in the night of June 22. The results are thought-provoking: 25 driving licenses had to be revoked for driving under the influence of alcohol and eight for driving under the influence of drugs.

In addition, eleven drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol, i.e. the alcohol test showed less than 0.5 per mille.

A total of 235 violations of the Road Traffic Act and the Motor Vehicle Act were recorded. 293 tickets were collected.
