Marlene Engelhorn has inherited an estate worth millions and has now donated a large part of the money to charitable or socially important organizations with the help of a citizens' council. Among the 77 organizations are four from Styria.

The "Good Council for Redistribution" set up by millionaire heiress Marlene Engelhorn has come to a decision on how the assets should be distributed after lengthy deliberations: The approximately 25 million euros will be given to 77 organizations. These include four Styrian organizations, which were able to secure 750,000 euros.

The association "Land schafft Leben" will receive 418,400 euros, "InterACT - Werkstatt für Theater und Soziokultur" will receive 162,400 euros, the association "Frauenhäuser Steiermark" will receive 120,000 euros and "Megaphon", the street magazine of Caritas of the Graz-Seckau diocese, will receive 52,550 euros.
