On Wednesday, a man died in a swimming accident in the natural swimming lake in Apetlon (Burgenland). The holidaymaker could no longer be resuscitated.

The tragic swimming accident occurred late on Wednesday morning. The man (69) had been swimming with his wife when he suddenly went under in the water. His wife then raised the alarm and called the emergency services.

Found lifeless in the water
They were on the scene in no time at all to search for the man. However, the German vacationer could only be found floating lifeless in the water, all resuscitation attempts failed. The possibility of any outside involvement has been ruled out.
