Stoss to serve another term as IOC member

ÖOC President Karl Stoss has been proposed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for a further eight-year term of office as an IOC member!

This is possible for the 67-year-old as he has not reached the age limit of 70. IOC President Thomas Bach is also among the 15 names mentioned. The German is already 70 years old, but due to his first election in 1991, the age limit of 80 years applies.

Election as part of the Summer Olympics
The election will take place during the Summer Olympics in Paris. The 142nd IOC Session is scheduled for July 23 and 24 and August 10 and will decide on the basis of the IOC Executive Committee's election proposal.

The election of eight new IOC members was also proposed, including Johan Eliasch, President of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). The Swedish-British businessman cited this function as the reason for his nomination in a press release published on Friday.
