Drugged driver brought daughter (8) to school

This time the dad tested positive! In Pasching (Upper Austria), a 45-year-old man was taking his eight-year-old daughter to elementary school. The problem: because the man had disregarded a driving ban, the police took action and very quickly discovered something else.

The 45-year-old local man drove his car to the Langholzfeld elementary school in the municipality of Pasching at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, drove into the no-driving zone and stopped to let his daughter out.

Father was impaired
Police officers saw this and carried out a driver and vehicle check. According to the police in a statement, clear signs of impairment were found. A voluntary rapid drug test yielded a positive result and the man was therefore taken for a clinical examination.

The doctor ruled that he was unfit to drive, his driver's license was temporarily confiscated and he was prohibited from continuing to drive.
