Fall from balcony: Mamie Laverock’s life in danger

Great concern for Mamie Laverock: The 19-year-old "Coal Valley Saga" actress is in mortal danger after falling from a fifth-floor balcony.

Family and fans fear for Mamie Laverock's life. The 19-year-old Netflix star is on life support after falling from a fifth-floor balcony. Her family announced this on the donation platform "gofundme".

Fall down five floors
According to the post, Laverock had been undergoing treatment in a hospital in Vancouver, Canada, for two weeks for an unspecified "medical emergency". 

Laverock's parents have now made further shocking details public. As they reported in the appeal for donations, the young actress was "taken from a secure ward of the hospital" to a "balcony from which she fell five stories".  

"She suffered life-threatening injuries, underwent multiple surgeries and is currently on life support," Laverock's parents continued in their message. "We are all devastated and in shock at this extremely difficult time."

Laverock's "Coal Valley Saga" series mom Johannah Newmarch also expressed her shock at the 19-year-old's terrible accident on social media. It is a "devastating time for everyone who cares about sweet Mamie", the 52-year-old wrote on Instagram and asked her fans for numerous donations. "They need all the support they can get to get through this."

Loretta Walsh and Erin Krakow, who also appear in the popular Netflix series, also asked their fans on social media to support the "gofundme" fundraising campaign. 

Starred in Netflix's long-running hit
Mamie Laverock starred as nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan in "The Coal Valley Saga" from 2014 to 2015. After a long break, she returned in the tenth season of the series, which aired in 2023.
