German “criminal tourist” as a bill collector

A German "tourist" spent several nights in local accommodation establishments without paying a single cent. The handcuffs clicked for the 56-year-old in a hotel on the Danube.  

Several hotels in Austria, including some in the Wachau region, have had an unwelcome guest in recent weeks. This was because a German "tourist" who had it thick as a fist took up residence in them - as it later turned out.

Her scam was always the same: she booked rooms, but then left the accommodation without paying a single cent. This was also the case in the district of Krems. However, because she checked into well-connected hotels there, the handcuffs clicked in a hotel on the Danube after a further binge.

Longer prison sentence at home
The investigation revealed that the woman was a 56-year-old woman who had already served a lengthy prison sentence in her home country for several violent and property crimes. The woman was taken to Krems prison due to the risk of absconding and concealment and her lack of residence in Austria. She now has to answer for fraud.
