A relaxed working day looks different! When Sergio Perez was thrown into the crash barriers at full throttle on the first lap of the Monaco GP, one or two photographers probably wished they had been positioned a few meters further away. 

What had happened? Kevin Magnussen had tried to pass Perez on the inside just a few seconds after the start of the race. In doing so, the Dane touched the Red Bull car, which was pushed into the fence at full throttle.

Videos on X and Co. show the perspective of the photographers present, who felt the impact with all its pressure. As the Swiss newspaper "Blick" writes, an Italian photo reporter is said to have been injured after being caught by a piece of wreckage flying towards him. The man was lying on the ground in pain, but is said to be on the mend. 

It took 40 minutes before the race could be restarted after the scare. There were no highlights this time, however, with the top 10 on the grid finishing in the same order - led by an overjoyed Charles Leclerc, who was able to break the spell and finally celebrate a race win at home in Monaco.
