Fatal accident with quad bike on the way home

A tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening near Bad Goisern (Upper Austria). After working on a hut, two locals on a quad bike left a forest road and fell over an embankment. Despite his serious injuries, the older man was able to call the ambulance, but the younger man died at the scene of the accident.

Late on Saturday evening, the two men (39, 43) from Bad Goisern were riding their quad bikes on a forest road towards Bad Goisern after finishing work. For as yet unexplained reasons, the vehicle suddenly left the path and crashed down an embankment, throwing the two workers off and causing serious injuries.

Died at the scene of the accident
The older of the two made an emergency call. When the emergency services arrived, they discovered that the younger man had been so badly injured that even the emergency doctor's immediate resuscitation measures were no longer effective and had to be discontinued. The 39-year-old died at the scene of the accident. The 43-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
