Woman injured in Imst

Despite walking speed: car hits pensioner

After an accident in a parking lot in Imst in Tyrol, an 83-year-old woman had to be taken to hospital on Saturday. The pensioner was walking and was hit by a car. 

The accident happened at around 9.45 a.m. in front of a shopping center in Imst. According to the police, a car driver (49) apparently saw the 83-year-old pedestrian too late. Although the 49-year-old was only traveling at average speed, she was still unable to prevent a collision.

The 83-year-old was hit by the car and fell to the ground. She suffered serious injuries in the accident.
