Red Bull at a loss: “A complete disaster!”

Pure frustration for Red Bull Racing as well as Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez: Instead of being able to attack the eminently important front grid positions at the Monaco Grand Prix, the "bull" drivers were dealt a real blow! While world champion Verstappen at least managed 6th place on the grid, Mexican driver Perez was knocked out in Q1 ... 

"A complete disaster," dictated Perez, who failed in the first qualifying section as he did last year, unsurprisingly into the microphones of the assembled Formula 1 press.

"If it doesn't rain tomorrow, I don't see any hope!"
"The car has so much more potential. In general, we have problems on this track. We have to look ahead to Montreal. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, I don't see any hope," said the less optimistic Perez.

"Obviously a big disillusionment!"
"If we get anywhere near the podium, it would be very good," agreed Red Bull motorsport consultant Helmut Marko on ORF.

The Austro racing team had been hoping to be on the front row of the grid, so 6th place was "naturally a huge disappointment".
