Crash in southern Styria

Four-year-old airlifted to children’s hospital after accident

In St. Peter am Ottersbach (Styria), two cars crashed into each other early on Saturday morning while turning. One of them was carrying a family from Slovenia, some of whom were seriously injured.

Several people were injured in an accident in St. Peter am Ottersbach on Friday morning. Shortly before 10 a.m., a 78-year-old man from the district of Südoststeiermark was driving in the Trössing area and wanted to turn left into a parking lot. At this moment, however, a car came towards him and there was a collision.

There was a Slovenian family in the car: the parents, both 35, and two children aged six and four. The four-year-old was flown by rescue helicopter to the children's hospital in Graz, the other family members were taken by ambulance to Graz Regional Hospital. The 78-year-old driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
