Apartment burglary: trio of women caught by police!

After three women broke into an apartment in Thaliastraße in Vienna-Ottakring, the suspects were caught by the police on Wednesday. The loot was discovered in the trio's apartment and seized. The suspects are women from Italy and Serbia. 

The three women, aged 24, 38 and 54, were arrested by officers from the Einsatzgruppe zur Bekämpfung der Straßenkriminalität (EGS) at around 5.15 p.m. on Wednesday. They are suspected of having committed a burglary in an apartment in Thaliastrasse.

"Suspected tools and stolen property from the apartment were found and seized from the suspects", said police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger on Friday. The EGS officers became aware of the three women in the course of a special operation to combat property crime. Further investigations are already underway.
