Agassi will be team captain at the Laver Cup in 2025

Former tennis star Andre Agassi will captain Team World at the Laver Cup in 2025. From next year, the former world number one and husband of Steffi Graf will replace John McEnroe in this role, the organizers announced on Wednesday.

At this year's event in Berlin, McEnroe will lead Team World for the last time over the three days of competition against Team Europe, coached by Björn Borg.

From September 20 to 22, the event will take place in Berlin's Uber Arena with Olympic tennis champion Alexander Zverev and Spanish top star Rafael Nadal, among others. The competition will then be held in San Francisco in 2025.
