David Corenswet: this is how hot the new Superman is

James Gunn has presented his new "Man of Steel": A good year before the planned cinema release of "Superman", Gunn posted a photo of US actor David Corenswet (30) in the legendary blue and red costume online on Monday (local time). 

In the photo, Superman is putting on his red boots. The blue jersey with the large S-sign on the chest looks slightly worn and soiled.

Corenswet follows Cavill
Corenswet, who has starred in TV series such as "The Politician" and "Hollywood", succeeds Brit Henry Cavill (41), who portrayed the DC hero in "Man of Steel" (2013), "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016) and "Justice League" (2017).

Rachel Brosnahan (33, "House of Cards") will play Superman's girlfriend Lois Lane. Filming has already started on the new superhero adventure.

Focus on Superman's origins
The new episode will focus on the origins of the superhero, who was sent to Earth from the planet Krypton by his parents. There he is found by a childless couple in the US state of Kansas and grows up as Clark Kent. The movie is scheduled for release in July 2025.

In the long history of "Superman" film adaptations, Christopher Reeve, Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill have previously appeared on the big screen.
