Hackers have Taylor Swift tickets in their sights
Taylor Swift concert tickets are in high demand - and hackers wanted to take advantage of this. They tried to capture and resell digital tickets for the 34-year-old singer's German dates.
The resale of Swift tickets has now been temporarily suspended. The number of unauthorized resales is in the low double-digit range, the spokesperson for the ticket exchange Eventim reassured on Monday.
Swift (34) starts the European leg of her tour in a few days and will also be performing at the Happel Stadium in Vienna from August 8 to 10. The tickets were only available via Eventim and sold out immediately. As a security measure, the tickets were personalized. It is only possible to resell them via an Eventim ticket exchange.
Transactions that were identified as fraudulent were reversed. Eventim has also called in the police.
