After death threats
Teenagers cause a stir at police station
On Sunday, a woman from Tennengau filed a complaint against a teenager (14) in Hallein. She stated that the 14-year-old had threatened to kill her and her 13-year-old son several times and had insulted them. Wild scenes then broke out at the police station.
The police took the teenager to the police station, where he was questioned in the presence of his mother. Meanwhile, a 15-year-old friend of the 14-year-old arrived at the scene and behaved extremely aggressively in the lobby of the police station. He began shouting and lashing out wildly. Despite several warnings, he had to be arrested using physical force.
The 15-year-old's screams alerted the 14-year-old, who also became aggressive and had to be arrested. In the meantime, other relatives and friends of the two youths arrived at the police station and behaved in an agitated manner in the entrance area. One man who spat in front of the police station was given an organ mandate.
Both youths were released after consultation with the Salzburg public prosecutor's office. The 15-year-old was charged with resisting law enforcement, while the 14-year-old was charged with making dangerous threats and aggressive behavior.
