Sandro Tonali’s ban suspended in its entirety!

Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali has been given a two-month suspended ban by an independent regulatory body for illegal betting! 

The midfielder, who does not deny breaching the English Football Association's betting rules, was also fined 20,000 pounds (23,400 euros).

"Suspension for the duration of the 2024/25 season"
"The ban will be fully suspended for the duration of the 2024/25 season, meaning that he will be able to return to professional soccer at the end of an existing ten-month sanction imposed by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) on October 27, 2023," Newcastle said.

Provided Tonali does not commit any further offenses during the ban, he will therefore not serve any part of the two-month sanction.
