Trailer pulled out of traffic without registration

That didn't work: A 50-year-old driver only showed the officers a photo of the trailer registration during a check. However, the lower part, on which the validity was noted, was cut off. With good reason: the 30-day registration had already been expired for a year. The driver was reported.

During a routine check, officers on the A 25 highway in Wels caught sight of a Bulgarian (50) with a Bulgarian car and a Polish trailer. During the police check, the driver was unable to produce any documents for the trailer. After a short time, he handed over a photo of the supposed registration certificate.

Expiration date cut off
It turned out that it had been tampered with. As the registration was only valid for 30 days, the lower part of the registration certificate, on which the expiry date of the registration is shown, had been cut off the photo.

Several charges
In the course of the investigation, it came to light that the registration had already been expired for a year. A report was made to the public prosecutor's office in Wels and several charges were filed for various administrative offenses. The driver refused to make a statement.
