Was just a toy
Youth wielded a weapon at the “Urfix”
The police carried out a special operation against juvenile delinquency at the Urfahranermarkt in Linz. Cannabis and nicotine products were seized, 20 reports were issued and the identities of 59 young people were established. But it was not only minors who were caught by the officers.
A total of 124 people were identified during the Linz police operation, 59 of whom were young people. 20 visitors were charged under the Narcotics Act, three of whom were juveniles. One young person was charged with forgery and another with disturbing public order. In addition, two traders were reported for violations of the trade regulations.
A further 14 young people were reported for the unauthorized possession of tobacco products, and a further 14 were issued with administrative penalties for the same reason. One young person was aggressive towards officers, another committed a breach of decorum and they were also issued with disciplinary orders. One juvenile was the subject of a disciplinary hearing because, as it turned out, he had handled a toy firearm.
Two absent minors and one adult were each returned to their accommodation. 26 grams of cannabis, three joints, 17 e-cigarettes, five cigarette packs and a pack of nicotine pouches were seized.
