Start of the election campaign?
Greens say no to “very destructive party”
Confirmation for Voglauer as provincial spokesperson for the Carinthian Greens: how the party intends to contest the upcoming elections.
Olga Voglauer, state spokesperson for the Carinthian Greens, is "very satisfied" with her result: with 94.6 percent, she was elected first on the state list for the National Council elections at the state assembly.
The stress begins now - with the EU elections on June 9, in which Lena Schilling will be running for the Greens: "There is always talk of young people being 'disenchanted with politics' - Lena shows that this prejudice is not true," Voglauer is certain.
Schilling "no risk" for the Greens
A young person at the top is not a risk, because "this is exactly the generation we are talking about!". A third mandate, or at least 500,000 votes, is the party's goal.
And in the National Council elections? Under the current "completely different conditions" than in 2019, this is difficult to predict, but the party does not want to leave Austria to a "very destructive Freedom Party". Cooperation with the Blue Party is "100 percent out of the question. We will not allow Austria to be left to the FPÖ. People are not drawn to the destructive, but to the creative."
But before that comes the summer anyway, when the Greens want to campaign "a lot among the people" - with support from Vienna.
