Guitar symposium at Haydn University for the first time

From May 2 to 4, Eisenstadt will become a Mecca for all experts, music lovers and friends of guitar sounds

When it comes to virtuosity on the guitar, the guitar festival in Rust has so far been one of the most important venues for those interested. This year, the Joseph Haydn Private University in Eisenstadt is also hosting a guitar symposium for the first time. Visitors can look forward to a diverse program ranging from concerts to master classes and lectures. "Our guitar symposium promises to be an inspiring and enriching experience for music lovers and experts alike," says Gabriel Guillen, who is organizing the symposium together with Nejc Kuhar.

Guitar meets orchestra
The symposium starts on Thursday, May 2, at 6 p.m. with a top-class concert in which the in-house symphony orchestra meets the guitar ensembles of the private university, the MDW Vienna and the Mahler UNI Klagenfurt. Gabriel Guillen Navarro and Nejc Kuhar will perform as soloists. A special highlight is a video greeting by the renowned guitarist John Williams. On Friday and Saturday, you can experience the outstanding talents Campbell Diamond and Judicaël Perroy as well as attend master classes and lectures.

There is a free donation for the concerts, registration is not necessary.
