Aggressive husband stabbed with knife

An argument between a married couple escalated to such an extent on Saturday in their shared apartment in Klagenfurt-Land that the husband hit his wife and dragged her out of the children's room by her hair. She in turn attacked him with a knife. 

The verbal argument came to a head on Saturday afternoon, when the Slovenian man became violent towards his North Macedonian wife. "He tried to cover her mouth and hit her in the face with the flat of his hand," the police said. The 25-year-old then left the apartment they shared in Klagenfurt-Land.

When she returned in the evening, she took a knife from the kitchen - according to her own statements for protection - and went into the children's room of their son in order to be physically separated from her husband.

However, the 36-year-old followed her. "He pulled her out of their child's bed by her hair. The woman reflexively stabbed the man with the knife in order to defend herself," said a police officer. 

The man was taken to Klagenfurt Hospital with a minor cut to his right knee. He was banned from entering and approaching. Both parties involved will also be reported to the public prosecutor's office in Klagenfurt for assaulting each other.
