Shake a leg with the Dancing Stars

Learn from the pros: Dancing stars Balázs Ekker and Alice Guschelbauer show amateurs the right steps for the dance floor.

Gliding across the dance floor, swinging, elegant and almost effortlessly: when it comes to dancing, Balázs Ekker and his wife Alice Guschelbauer are hardly anyone's fool. The duo won the hearts of many fans on the successful ORF show "Dancing Stars". Now dance enthusiasts in St. Margarethen have the opportunity to learn from the two professionals. The Moveostella movement studio offers courses with the TV stars. "Alice trains Pilates with me and that's how the idea of organizing dance workshops with her and Balázs came about," explains studio owner Estella Csermak.

Workshops for beginners and advanced dancers
Everything you need to cut a fine figure at balls and dance evenings is taught - from blues, disco fox, slow waltz to cha-cha-cha, boogie, Cuban rumba and tango. No previous knowledge is necessary. All you need is a love of movement. The first workshop is already underway, with further courses planned for June and the fall. "We are planning a corresponding advanced course - level 1 - for spring 2025," says Csermak.

The chemistry was right
The professional dance couple run two dance schools in Györ and Wr. Neustadt. "We don't just offer courses at our school, but also deliberately go out to other locations - like here in St. Margarethen, where we found the ideal conditions at Estella and the chemistry was just right," say Ekker and Guschelbauer, who are looking forward to many participants.

Fiery slogans
But what are the Dancing Stars like away from the camera? Does Ekker, who is known for his fiery and pointed remarks, also provide humorous banter during training? Csermak doesn't want to give that away: "If you're curious, it's best to grab your partner and sign up quickly."
