A complicated case for the mountain rescue team: on Saturday lunchtime in Molln, a paraglider got caught in the ropes of a cable car with his paraglider several hundred meters above the ground. He was uninjured, but the rescue proved difficult even for the experienced mountain rescuers.

This was probably not how this paraglider pilot had imagined his flight. At 12.27 p.m., the Molln and Ternberg fire departments, the technical train from Steyr and the mountain rescuers were alerted that the sportsman had become entangled in the ropes of a cable car with his aircraft around 300 meters above the ground. 

The paraglider pilot was uninjured in the collision, but the extremely high altitude of the accident site made the rescue a real challenge.
