Summer can come! After the onset of winter in the past few days, temperatures are finally on the rise again. Just in time. Because today, Saturday, the new bathing season opens at the Klagenfurt lido. There is every reason to celebrate this year, as the bathing facility is 100 years old.

Klagenfurters have long since grown fond of the lido. For generations, bathers have sought to cool off and relax there. Over the decades, it has developed into a place of longing for the people of Klagenfurt. Even though it is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, it is still a relatively young pool. Bad Loretto, which opened in 1835, is almost nine decades older. Over the years, more and more people were drawn to the Wörthersee beach.
