Former tennis pro Boris Becker is no longer insolvent, according to his lawyer! "As a result of an agreement with his insolvency administrators, Boris Becker's private insolvency, which was opened in 2017, was legally terminated by a decision of the High Court in London yesterday," announced lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser on Thursday on behalf of the 56-year-old.

The court has ordered the immediate discharge of residual debt. This means "that our client is released from any further liability arising from the insolvency debts". Becker's entry in the insolvency register was still visible on Thursday. However, the responsible British insolvency authority confirmed that Becker's insolvency would be lifted this Saturday (April 27).

According to the authority, the release from insolvency will put an end to all conditions in connection with these proceedings.

Sentenced to two and a half years in prison at the end of April 2022
The three-time Wimbledon winner was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in London at the end of April 2022 for concealing assets worth millions from his insolvency administrators.

He was released early in December 2022 due to a special arrangement for foreign prisoners, was immediately deported to Germany and, according to British media, will not be allowed to return to his former adopted country of Great Britain until October 2024 at the earliest.
