Brettfall Tunnel completely closed for 6 hours
Drivers beware: Due to "necessary work", the Brettfall Tunnel in the Tyrolean Zillertal must be completely closed on Thursday between 9am and 3pm. The tunnel is currently undergoing general renovation and is normally passable in one lane.
The general renovation of the Brettfall Tunnel is in full swing. In the first construction phase, which will continue until June 21, the tunnel is generally passable in the direction of the valley. "Due to necessary work in the north and south portal area, it is necessary to close the tunnel in both directions today, Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.," the state said at short notice.
Detour set up
A detour has been set up. A detour is possible via the L218 Rotholzer Straße through the village of Strass im Zillertal or the B 171 Tiroler Straße.
"The work must be carried out directly above the roadway - for safety reasons, a short-term closure in both directions is therefore necessary," it said.
