ServusTV is showing a "quiz hunt" special around this year's European Championship spectacle, in which Toni Polster, Andreas Herzog and Florian Klein compete against a German quiz team.

For some it was a disgrace, for others a miracle - meaning, no na, the last game of the World Cup intermediate round in 1978 in Cordoba, Argentina, in which the German national team lost 3:2 to Austria. A sensation that still gets under the skin of many a former footballer - as the "Krone" noticed behind the scenes during the filming of a "Quizjagd" special (which will be shown before the European Championship spectacle in the summer) in the MMC studios in Vienna's 23rd district.

For this special edition of the quiz show, host Florian Lettner once again pits Austria against Germany - represented by Toni Polster, Andreas Herzog and Florian Klein, as well as Steffen Freund, Markus Babbel and Pierre Littbarski on the rival side. The questions are not only from the world of soccer - the main focus is on general knowledge. "The A-levels will have to suffice," says Klein, explaining his preparation strategy with a wink.

Meanwhile, Littbarski attempts a realistic assessment of the situation: "We footballers only really know something about soccer," he laughs. "I've read all the daily newspapers and now I've treated myself to six sandwiches," says Polster, who is fully prepared for the international match in the quiz. And if things don't go according to plan, the red-white-red guessing candidates won't shy away from the odd foul.

"When the camera pans over, maybe I'll give my German colleague a quick shove on the 'Quizjagd' spiral," smiles Polster. No reason for our favorite neighbors to get nervous: "We see success at the end of the tunnel," says Littbarski with a broad chest. ServusTV viewers will also be able to see this during the broadcast, which the "Krone" will clearly announce in good time for our readers.
