With the “crown” to match the Wings for Life Run

May 5, 2024 will be a big day: Austria and the world will start the eleventh edition of the Wings for Life World Run together to further advance the cure for paraplegia. With the "Krone" you can win running outfits worth 500 euros each for the Wings for Life World Run!

The flagship run in Vienna - popular due to its impressive backdrop along the route and the unique spirit - is sold out with 13,500 starters. However, it is still possible to take part in the global running event for a good cause: 60 App Run events are currently planned throughout Austria.

At these events, participants run together with the Wings for Life World Run app on a predetermined route - their final result is included in the global ranking. Since 2014, more than 1.29 million runners and wheelchair users from 195 countries have taken part in the Wings for Life World Run. A total of 43.8 million euros in donations have been collected to date.

How the Wings For Life World Run works
There is no set distance - all runners start at the same time and run until they are caught up by the virtual or real Catcher Car, the mobile finish line. In Vienna, snowboard queen Anna Gasser is taking on the role of catcher car driver for the third time in a row and is looking forward to the emotional moments along the route.
