Pupils embellish the Ministry of Education
Primary school pupils from Mörbisch have come up with creative ideas on the subject of Lake Neusiedl, which has sufficient water again compared to the summer of 2022 following the rainfall in recent months. Some of their works can now be admired in Vienna.
For the pupils of Mörbisch elementary school, the history of the formation and development of Lake Neusiedl is not just gray theory. Now that the boys and girls can look out over the largest steppe lake in Central Europe from their classrooms every day, they also have a very personal connection to it and its unique flora and fauna.
Minister's staircase becomes an eye-catcher
This is exactly what the fourth grade dealt with as part of an art project. Not only did they research the flora and fauna around the lake and gather valuable knowledge, they also built a model of the lake, designed a lake map and painted numerous pictures. These impressed principal Luise Feiler as well as Education Minister Martin Polaschek. The works of art now adorn his ministerial staircase.
