Do you like using emojis and smileys?

It's hard to imagine written language online without them: the funny little pictures called emojis or smileys. Some people use them after practically every message, while others use them sparingly or not at all. In some circumstances, they make online communication easier, as the human nuances of a face-to-face conversation are eliminated. 

However, facial expressions and gestures are important so that what is said can be put into context and is received correctly by the other person. The various smileys are a particularly good substitute for this. But not everyone is a fan of them. 

Do you like using emojis and smileys online yourself or do you find them too infantile? Do you perhaps have a favorite emoji that is characteristic of you?
