Out for Spica
Bischofshofen hires a new coach
The defeat against Wolfurt on Saturday sealed the end. Western League club Bischofshofen and coach Adonis Spica are going their separate ways with immediate effect. The successor is already in place.
"We would like to thank Adonis for 8 great years together. People like Adonis are few and far between. We wish him all the very best for his future, he will remain a part of the BSK family forever," explained managing director Patrick Reiter in a statement from the Pongau club. Spica is said to have asked for his contract to be terminated, and after mutual consideration, taking into account current developments (five games without a win), this request was granted.
His successor has already been found. Thomas Schnöll will take over the helm at the struggling West League club. He will be assisted by his coaching partner Christopher Kronreif, who previously worked together at Grödig.
It was agreed not to disclose the length of the contract.
